The job requirements for an Edger Operator include the ability to:

• Read and comprehend Work Orders and product specifications
• Understand and adhere to special instructions and procedures
• Properly evaluate “incoming” material
• Observe safe coil handling procedures including:
• moving bundles from rack to coil car
• transferring from coil car to Pay-off reel
• “threading” the edging line
• transferring material from Take-up reel to turnstyle
• transferring material from turnstyle to rack.

Inspect and correctly install edger tooling
Correctly operate tooling stations and control panels to properly process material
Prepare and inspect coil samples and evaluate quality of same
Maintain production and quality documentation
Observe all safety guideline including wearing appropriate clothing and protective gear
Punctually adhere to the published work schedule
