Job Description
Skilled Maintenance Technician with expertise in CNC controls to join maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machinery and related equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production efficiency. This candidate will also be responsible for facilities maintenance.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Inspecting machines and equipment to identify any issues or malfunctions.
- Conducting routine maintenance, such as lubricating machinery and replacing worn parts.
- Troubleshooting problems with machines and equipment to identify the root cause of issues.
- Performing repairs on machines and equipment, such as replacing parts, adjusting settings, or calibrating equipment.
- Keeping detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed on machines and equipment.
- Collaborating with other maintenance technicians and production staff to ensure machines are running properly.
- Following safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.
- Updating and maintaining knowledge of new technologies and advancements in machine shop equipment.
- Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Communicating with supervisors and managers to report maintenance issues and provide updates on equipment status.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
In this position the employee may be exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts & vibration. The noise level in the plant environment can be loud, hearing protection is provided and mandatory in certain areas. Physical requirements are as follows: the employee is required to talk and hear, is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, walk, stoop, read and write. The position may require occasional lifting, pushing & pulling of objects. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
